Why Knowledge is Power
Need Your Help for Something
Hey to all 46 of you!
You ever heard about a game called Werewolf?
Here’s how it plays out.
Each player is secretly assigned a role. They can be either a Werewolf or a Villager. Werewolves are outnumbered 2-to-1.
The Werewolves know who’s on their team, but the Villagers don’t know who the Werewolves are.
Each night, the Werewolves secretly eliminate a villager. By day, everyone debates, suspects, and votes to “kill” one player they think is a Werewolf.
The game continues until either all the Werewolves or all the Villagers are eliminated.
Let’s picture this.
8 Villagers, 2 Werewolves. Easy math.
The Villagers should win, right?
Wrong.
The Werewolves win almost every time.
This game was invented by Dimitry Davidoff, a Russian sociology student, to prove his thesis.
His theory is that an uninformed majority will always lose a battle of information against an informed minority.
Read that again.
To put it simply, knowledge is power.
The key takeaway here is this. In any field or situation, those who have insight knowledge, or see the bigger picture, are the ones who win most of the time.
Back to building stuff.
Remember I said that I want to turn Equal Opportunity into an employability boosting platform, and that it will be released in stages? (or maybe you weren’t here then, so tap to read this please)
Well, I said the initial stage would be some text + video, and then more expert videos would be added.
Turns out that having long texts sucks.
So now we have a problem. We need video, and I cannot record most videos myself. (nor should I)
This means I have to reach out to trainees and solicitors to ask for help. I don’t want to post this publicly on LinkedIn as some already found out of this and think it will take people away from their paid platform.
Going back to Davidoff’s theory — knowledge is power.
If you know someone that might be willing to assist, please let me know!
Talk Friday,
George
